Into Wain lands back-to- back wins
Thursday, 25 February 2010

INTO WAIN made it two wins on the bounce yesterday evening by taking a 1m4f handicap at Kempton. The three-year old by Eddington followed up his maiden win at Wolverhampton with a game success at the London track.
The race threatened to be a tactical affair with only three runners but the Mark Johnston-trained Exemplary set an even gallop and jockey Martin Dwyer was able to settle Into Wain just on his tail.
On turning into the straight Into Wain showed signs of greenness and Dwyer was forced to nudge him along for a few strides.
This pressure had the desired effect and he was soon on terms with the leader before going on inside the final furlong to score readily by three-quarters of a length at odds of 5/4.
This was his second win from just three starts and Ahmad Al Shaikh’s colt looks to be an exciting prospect for the forthcoming season.
