King rules at Brighton
Sunday, 04 July 2010

KING Of Reason gained a first career success in a 7f maiden at Brighton this afternoon. The son of King’s Best had some good form in the book most notably his recent fifth in the Britannia at Royal Ascot.
Saeed Manana’s three-year-old faced only one rival today, Sir Michael Stoute’s Lay Claim, who led at good pace in the early stages.
Jockey Shane Kelly joined the leader over 2f out and soon went clear, returning the winner by 16 lengths.
