Listed glory at Yarmouth

18 September 2013

MISS YOU Too gave Trillium Place a Listed success to celebrate at Yarmouth this afternoon when she obliged in the John Musker Fillies’ Stakes.
She beat some proven high-class performers in convincing fashion at odds of no less than 20/1!
Owner Andrew Whitlock’s filly has been highly tried in 2013, finishing mid-division in the Group 1 Epsom Oaks and then being well beaten on the Group 1 Preis Der Diana in Dusseldorf last month.
This ease in grade was much more like it and she gave a commanding front-running performance in the hands of rider Chris Catlin.
Well clear with half a mile to go, she never saw a rival in running out a three and a quarter length scorer.
Trainer David Simcock admitted Miss You Too is not entirely straightforward and works on her own. As a result the way today’s race panned out was just about ideal
for her.
He said: “It suited her that they left her alone today which is probably the first time she's had that and Chris gave her a great ride.”
