Last gasp win for Mabait

MABAIT secured his first win in over three years when taking a mile handicap at Newmarket this afternoon.
The son of Kyllachy has a long string of decent placed efforts to his name and thoroughly deserved to get his head back in front.
He was settled towards the rear by George Bucknell, travelling strongly in behind runners.
He was still full of running approaching the final furlong with Bucknell sat motionless waiting for a gap.
Thankfully the splits came and Mabait ran on strongly to hit the front on the line, winning by the narrowest of margins.
