PEREIRA secured a first career win when taking a 1m4f handicap at Newcastle this afternoon.
The daughter of Tiger Hill stepped up on her maiden efforts to win in game fashion under Martin Lane.
She raced keenly in the early stages but Martin soon had her in a good position on the heels of the leaders.
Martin got to work half way up the long straight and his mount responded well to pressure.
She closed gradually on the leaders and got her head in front as the line approached, winning by a neck.
