Impressive winning debut by Madame Chiang

22 October 2013

MADAME Chiang got her career off to the best possible start when romping home in a mile maiden at Yarmouth this afternoon.
The daughter of Archipenko carries the colours of her breeder Kirsten Rausing and based on this success, she looks to be an exciting prospect.
She showed signs of greenness in the early stages but jockey Chris Catlin gave her plenty of time to find her feet, settled at the rear of the field.
She travelled up strongly before bursting through runners with a furlong to go.
The further she went the better she went and she powered clear to win by four lengths.
Catlin said: "She has really lengthened well. She should be a nice filly for next year."
