Stable stalwart scores

14 January 2014

NOBLE Citizen returned to the winner’s circle for the first time since July, 2011 when successful at Southwell this afternoon.
The nine-year-old gelding won a mile apprentice handicap at Southwell for rider George Buckell.
It was his fifth career win and gave trainer David Simcock his fifth triumph of 2014 and second in the space of 24 hours.
Noble Citizen made good progress from a quarter of a mile out and battled gamely, having hit the front, to score by a neck.
It was his first win at a mile, the other successes arriving at six and seven furlongs.
