Fractal completes three-timer

17 September 2014

FRACTAL maintained the feel-good factor at Trillium Place with a third straight victory yesterday.

In a week in which trainer David Simcock saddled a Grade 1 double in Canada, Fractal achieved a notable feat of his own by winning a mile and a half handicap by eight lengths.

The three-year-old made light of a 10lb rise for his Leicester success at the start of the month as he justified 8/ll favouritism in the hands of jockey Martin Lane.

Having been held up in the initial stages, Fractal came with a confident challenge from around half a mile out.
He hit the front inside the final two furlongs  and could be called the winner a very long way from home. It was an easy success and showed the High Chaparral gelding is very much still on an upward curve.
