Terror strikes on Halloween

31 October 2014

TERROR proved an aptly-named winner on Halloween with the David Simcock-trained filly scoring in Listed company at Newmarket.

The Kodiac filly was a very short-priced favourite and rightly so, having finished fourth in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes over course and distance last month.

Jockey Jim Crowley was always towards the head of affairs aboard her and she settled the matter in easy style in the last of the six furlongs.

Having always travelled sweetly, she eventually sped away to win by a length and a half.

Now the focus of Trillium Place is ready to fall on Santa Anita where the Simcock team will tomorrow be represented by Caspar Netscher (Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint) and Trade Storm (Breeders' Cup Mile).
