Success for Uchenna

19 January 2015

UCHENNA notched a second career success when triumphing at Wolverhampton this afternoon.

Trainer David Simcock's charge was sent off the 14/1 outsider of five for the extended nine-furlong handicap.
A winner on her second start at Goodwood in 2013, the Black Gold Partnership-owned filly had been off the track for almost six months before her latest assignment.
Ridden by jockey Jim Crowley, she raced prominently for the first mile before launching a challenge down the home straight.
The four-year-old daughter of Fastnet Rock wore down the odds on favourite Persona Grata inside the final furlong and secured a three-parts of a length win for Trillium Place.
