It was a straightforward victory, too, despite the step up in grade to Stakes company. Through the early exchanges The Corsican was held up at the back by jockey Jim Crowley.
He travelled well throughout and cruised into contention from a couple of furlongs. The Corsican made relentless progress and made light work of finishing the race off, scoring at odds of 7/2.
