THE Cashel Man gave trainer David Simcock another winner this afternoon when powering to victory in a mile and a three-quarters handicap at Redcar.

The Fitri Hay-owned three-year-old gelding made light work of defeating a field of 16, recording his first career in the process.
Rider Jim Crowley gave him a textbook hold-up ride, delivering his mount in smooth fashion on the outer.
The Cashel Man led from approaching the final furlong and impressed through the final stages with a strong staying display.
He eventually hit the line with four lengths to spare. notching a 5/1 success.
Also at Redcar, fellow Trillium Place inmate Midlight finished runner-up in a median auction maiden.
