King of Dreams breaks maiden tag

12 January 2016

TRAINER David Simcock maintained his hot start to 2016 by sending out another winner this afternoon in the shape of King Of Dreams at Lingfield.

The Trillium Place team have been firing on all cylinders since the turn of the year and this was the fifth success so far.

King Of Dreams proved very game as he emerged best from a tussle with Cachao in  a mile and a quarter maiden.

The Simcock runner - a son of former champion charge Dream Ahead - led for much of the race before being headed approaching the final pole.

But jockey Jamie Spencer coaxed yet more from his mount who rallied to win by three parts of a length.

King Of Dreams, owned by Khalifa Dasmal, was returned the 5/4 and broke his maiden tag at the fourth attempt after being placed on each of his three previous outings.
