Cersei lands Redcar spoils

28 April 2016

CERSEI made her mark by taking a six-furlong fillies' maiden at Redcar this afternoon.

Jockey Jamie Spencer was aboard the daughter of Invincible Spirit, who had little trouble is beating her 10 ten rivals.

Al Asayl Bloodstock's horse enjoyed the slight step back in trip, showing good tactical speed as well as a finishing kick.

Spencer was always close up as he travelled the 15/8 favourite into the business end of the race.

And Cersei picked up well when asked just over a furlong from home.

She made light work of the closing exchanges, running on in smooth style to score by three and a half lengths.

It was the second winner that trainer David Simcock has sent out from Trillium Place this week after Red Cardinal scored on Tuesday.
