Sweet success for White Chocolate

19 October 2016

TRAINER David Simcock enjoyed a winner at his local course this afternoon with White Chocolate victorious in a seven-furlong median auction maiden for fillies.

Jockey Jamie Spencer was aboard the 7/2 favourite for the seven-furlong contest at Newmarket and she duly justified her place in the market.
Beaten by just three parts of a length on her debut at Newcastle earlier this month, the daughter of Mastercraftsman - owned by Rumble Racing Club - was back in trip today.
White Chocolate made strong progress through the closing exchanges and looked very good value for her success by a head as she ran on in taking style.
The win was the second by a juvenile in 24 hours for the Trillium Place team. At Newcastle yesterday, Ahlan Bil Zain won a mile median auction stakes by a neck on his second racecourse appearance.
Fourth at Windsor two weeks ago, the Elusive City colt was more clued up and confident for his latest assignment and prevailed by a neck in the hands of rider Oisin Murphy.
