Very Good Omen

03 June 2017

GOOD Omen made a winning return to the British track, following a promising winter in Dubai, in the Classified Stakes (Plus 10 Race - class 3) over one mile and two furlongs at Doncaster.
Settled in rear from the break by Jamie Spencer, the three year old colt by Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) out of Magic Nymph (IRE) tracked the field until the pace quickened three furlongs from home. The pair then made steady progress putting pressure on the field and as others were working hard Spencer took Good Omen past to lead approaching one furlong out, pushing Good Omen out to win comfortably by one and three quarter lengths.
Good Omen is owned by Mrs Q J Guo and was having his first run in Britain since moving in January of this year to trainer David Simcock.
