Raid wins on debut at Doncaster

11 November 2017

RAID took the honours on debut in the six furlong Maiden Stakes (Plus 10) Div I at Doncaster today with a very promising performance under Oisin Murphy.

Settled quickly towards the rear of the eleven runner field, Raid made headway from two furlongs out as the pace quickened, challenging for the lead entering the final furlong and heading the field from the half furlong marker, stretching away to win by two and a quarter lengths.

The two-year-old colt, by Havana Gold (IRE) out of  Remarkable Story (GB), is trained by David Simcock for Qatar Racing Limited.
